Apple News editors launch curated Twitter account
Apple News is reaching out to new audiences via a curated @AppleNews Twitter account designed to promote stories.
A team of journalists will oversee the feed, ensuring it is kept up to date with all the latest stories and popular articles with anyone browsing on an iPhone able to hotlink directly into the relevant section of the Apple News app.
Apple News has struggled to gain traction despite Apple’s huge installed user base with publishing partners expressing disappointment with the traffic they have generated on the platform – although Apple hasn’t yet published detailed stats explaining how many use the service on a day to day basis.
