The Drum has released a new mobile app to give readers the world the chance to enjoy its printed magazine in digital format.

Containing content from 2016 so far, the app will be updated on a fortnightly basis with new media and marketing content contained within its award-winning magazine, spanning the advertising, digital, creative and business sectors.

Access to the app will be complimentary to current and new magazine subscribers, while auto-renewable subscriptions will be introduced.

Over time, the app will become a huge searchable archive containing the greatest content from The Drum.

Andy Oakes, managing director of The Drum, explained: "The app is a very important aspect of our international expansion strategy. We want to take the content from the printed publication, featuring beautiful illustrations and photography alongside our long-form content, and take that to our readership who may be aware of the website, but don't necessarily realise there is also a magazine."

The app will be released on both iOS and Android, while a new mobile responsive website also goes live on 5 April in beta.

A video outlining more details on the app is available to view above.
