Dating app Tinder has tied the knot with Humin after being drawn to the San Francisco-based start-up's contact management expertise.

Whilst terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed it is understood that Tinder will essentially requisition Humin’s east coast base for its San Francisco office - with senior staff all transferring to Tinder.

This includes Humin co-founders Ankur Jain and David Wyler who will join Tinder’s executive team as VP of product and VP of partnerships.

Tinder co-founder Sean Rad said that he had been motivated to snap up Humin in order to obtain their ‘experience and IP to accelerate our product roadmap’.

The purchase marks Tinder’s latest move to broaden its specialism away from dating towards a broader app that can connect people in a more general sense.
