Apple is set to exclusively stream a six-part docuseries for Vice to help boost its streaming service, Apple Music.

The Score, premiered on Tuesday (22 March) and will comprise several short films exploring local music scenes from around the world

The first episode delves into Minnesota's Native American hip hop scene and examines its "unique sound and a wholly modern native identity", the trailer can be viewed in full below.

Each episode of the series will be accompanied by a relevant playlist curated by Apple Music to help the tech giant court more users to gain ground on rivals Spotify and Deezeer. Apple is the latest brand to mix music and video, following in the footsteps of YouTube Red – Google's play-on-demand subscription service.

For Vice, the series will help the media firm bolster its footprint into new platforms, building on the launch of it's cable TV channel Viceland.
