AOL UK's director of client engagement, Stephen Jenkins has left the company, The Drum has learned.

Jenkins was Millennial Media's vice president global marketing and communications until it was acquired by AOL in late last year. He subsequently took on a new role within the parent company as a result.

Jenkins joined Millennial Media marketing director in September 2011 from Mobile Entertainment Forum.

In an email revealing his departure, seen by The Drum, Jenkins thanked colleagues for their support over the years and said that he would be "taking some time out".

It is thought that as he leaves he is exploring potential options for the future.

The departure follows that of AOL's former MD Hamish Nicklin who left to join the Guardian as chief revenue officer. He was subsequently replaced by Stuart Flint.
