French ad tech startup Adikteev closes London office

French ad tech startup Adikteev has closed its London office, sacking all five of its team members in the process.

The business is pulling its EMEA operations and activities back into its headquarters in Paris, France just seven months after it set up a London base. Executives in London were tasked with selling to media agencies the Adikteev’s MotionLead technology, which creates bespoke mobile ad units, and it is understood that the first local campaigns for the formats had been secured.

Prior to the closure, the team were exploring how best to get its premium ad formats on more media platforms; whether it was by plugging into agency trading desks or by continuing to sell the formats direct in the hope that they’d land big deals.

In a statement sent to The Drum by managing director Juliette Pasquet, the business said it wants to regroup all activities in one single place as part of its EMEA strategy, given that international budgets are managed there already.

"We will continue dealing with UK-based agencies in the future, and maybe we will have the chance to welcome them in our offices, right next to the famous Opera Garnier. Who knows?", said Arthur Querou, co-founder at MotionLead.
