Creative agency Antidote has premiered an innovative 360 degree VR music video on YouTube, designed to support the launch of Danish speaker brand Libratone’s new wireless and Bluetooth enabled ZIPP speaker range in Europe.

The killer app of these speakers is their ability to project 360° sound, allowing them to be placed in the centre of a room to provide maximum audio reach for house parties.

This inspired Antidote to approach Universal and drum and bass duo SIGMA to produce ‘Nightingale’ a 360° interactive music video shot by fans filming their own house parties.

Antidote managing director Henry Chilcott, said: “At its heart, Nightingale is a communications idea built out of a product truth; a 360° speaker designed to set music free. We just found a good way to set the idea free.

“We hope it holds up as a good answer to the ad blocker challenge the industry faces – as a piece of content people want in their lives where the product is authentic and centre stage, but has the confidence not to shout.”

The resulting track is set for commercial release within a fortnight and will be included within Sigma’s debut album, ‘Life’.
