Doner looks for office warming gifts as it move to new LA office
The good folks in Playa Vista have another new friend — who has a pretty good sense of humor with Doner LA, an MDC agency, having made the move to the same area as 72andSunny, Google and EA Games in the burgeoning creative community just north of Los Angeles International Airport and fairly close to the beach.
The agency is occupying a space featuring amazing sunset views (I mean, I’ve never heard a sunset view described as “meh”) designed by famed interior designer Erinn Valencich, who was recently named ARTS Awards’ Interior Designer of the year.
In less than a year since ECD Jason Gaboriau and managing director Zihla Salinas took the helm of Doner's LA office, the agency has grown to nearly 40 people by scoring work for brands like Neato Robotics and MSG Network, while bringing home big, digitally-led wins including becoming digital AOR for Nescafe. The growth has helped push the move to the new digs.
What makes this even more delightful is that Doner LA has opened the "official Doner LA Office Warmings and Wellwishings Registry," asking for “agency warming” gifts — and this is where the levity kicks in.
Items for your shopping pleasure range from the practical (A Death Star Waffle Maker, espionage drone — these things are practical, right?), to the delightful (Janet Reno-signed photo, 22 carat gold toilet paper, 1932 Rolls-Royce Phantom) to the puzzling (an above ground pool that, inexplicably, is priced in Euros).
They’re also asking for a Cannes Lions Grand Prix trophy. So, if anyone has an extra one lying around…
If you’re looking to get Doner LA that truly unique gift on the registry that won’t break the bank, you can drop $4.40 for a 20-pack of mixed breed ducklings or $1 for an ACD, Design Director. Kindly note the, er, note.
