Reporting directly to CTO Liam Maxwell Beale will be tasked with drawing together different technology units; including the architecture, policy and standards, service assurance and controls, and strategic change teams.

Beale will also be lead director on the government’s technology strategy and policy; including information security. Commenting on his new role Beale said it was a ‘fantastic opportunity to better support CTOs by joining up IT reform efforts and the great teams we have across the Cabinet Office’.

First employed at the Cabinet Office back in 2012 Beale went on to be promoted to director of common technology services in December 2013.
