Having conquered the pop world artist Taylor Swift is now setting her sights on the fast growing world of mobile gaming by partnering with Glu Mobile to develop a new smartphone title.
The nature of this tie-up is being kept hush-hush for now but the first game in the ‘multi-year partnership’ is slated for release by Christmas.
Glu Mobile is no strangers to celebrity tie-ups, having previously published ‘Kim Kardashian: The Hollywood game’ as it seeks to cash in on the large social media followings of global stars to give its titles a readymade audience.
Other celebrities to have been roped in include chef Gordon Ramsay, actor Jason Statham and rapper Nicki Minaj.
Swift fits neatly into that strategy with an impressive 71m Twitter followers and more than 74m ‘likes’ on her Facebook page.
