Bob Wootton, the director of media and advertising at the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers (ISBA), has announced he will leave in the coming months.

Wootton has decided to move on and pursue a portfolio career comprising industry-level work and non-executive roles, as well as spending more time with his "much-beloved" guitar collection.

Mike Hughes, ISBA director general, said: “Bob brought his serious skills as a media buyer to the client side of the table, developing those skills as the media landscape transformed.

"Advertisers and the whole industry have been the beneficiaries of his 20 years in ISBA's media chair."

For the past two decades, Wootton drew on his experience as a media buyer to lead the advertising lobbying body, he will leave his role 22 April 2016.
