O2 appoints TCC to multi-faceted ‘experiential retail’ brief

UK mobile telecoms giant O2 has appointed retail intelligence agency TCC to provide a range of experiential retail and promotional services in a three-year deal.

O2 UK is currently repositioning itself from a pure telecoms company to become a major player in the digital space and ">TCC has been appointed to create and deliver industry leading experiential events across O2’s network of more than 450 owned and Franchise outlet stores. In addition, TCC will support O2’s online studio and web development teams at peak times and, also, advise on suitable customer collateral to support 02’s ongoing store refit programme.

Tim Leney, managing director of TCC, said: “We are delighted to have won this business after a rigorous pitch process. We work closely with our O2 stakeholders and combining our extensive retail and shopper marketing knowledge with an amazing brand like O2 gives us a very productive partnership. We look forward to the next three years with 02.”

O2 is the commercial brand of Telefónica UK Limited, running 2G, 3G and 4G networks across the UK, as well as operating O2 Wifi and owning half of Tesco Mobile. O2 has over 450 retail stores and sponsors The O2, O2 Academy venues and the England rugby team.
