Bauer eyes further digital audio ad spend with senior hires
Bauer has appointed former Telegraph insights executive Cathy Ma to be its first audience development director as part of a slew of senior hires it hopes will propel commercial revenues from its media brands.
Ma will mastermind content strategies for the media owner’s commercial partners, working alongside its search and social bosses. Prior to Bauer, she has held editorial, social content, product management roles, including consulting for Telegraph’s audience development strategy.
Her remit will also see her work closely with Hannah Rouch, who has been promoted to digital director for Bauer Xcel Lifestyle.
Rouch's new role gives her responsibility for the outfit's digital lifestyle portfolio, which includes entertainment titles such as Empire and women's titles including Grazia, Heat and Closer.
Alice Farmiloe has been promoted to editor-in-chief, lifestyle, with a focus on editorial and social media development across Bauer’s lifestyle brands Grazia, heat and Closer. Alice joined Bauer Xcel from Leo Burnett, where she was the editorial Director, responsible for devising and implementing the editorial strategy across clients including The Outtnet, ghd, Mercedes-Benz and Max Factor.
Digital content manager Ali Wilkinson has also been promoted to head of content for radio, giving him responsible of creating content strategies around its connected audio listening offering.
