Mark Harrison is to return to Mother to head up the Walgreens Boots Alliance – of which high street chain Boots is a part – following a four-year stint at Karmarama.

It marks the second time Harrison will have spearheaded the Boots account at the agency.

He first joined Mother in 2008 as global director of retail and ran the Boots account, launching the successful ‘Here come the girls‘ campaign as well as work for its No7 brand, before leaving in 2012.

Returning as global business lead on the account, he’ll manage the team and lead the agency’s forthcoming campaigns.

Sara Tate, managing director at Mother, said: “Mark is one of the leading experts in retail and the energy and ambition he brings for the brand is a great match for the Mother and Boots ambitions leading into 2017.”

At Karmarama, Harrison was managing director for retail, working on its roster of high street brands including B&Q, Costa and most recently Iceland supermarkets.
