The Premier League is set for a rebrand and is currently weighing up its options for the tournament's positioning after parting ways with title sponsor Barclays.

DesignStudio has been brought on board to take the lead on the revamp, which will not include a title sponsor after the Premier League announced in June last year that it was moving away from the model.

While it is unclear at this stage what the redesign of the logo and brand will involve, a spokeperson for the Premier League confirmed that it is working with the Design Studio and told The Drum: “We have already confirmed that there will be no title sponsor of the Premier League from next season so are, as a matter of course, considering options in terms of the positioning of the competition and the organisation going forward.”

The tournament said the new approach will allow the League to add a number of additional partnerships, while the Clubs will continue to operate their own individual commercial models.
