Channel 5 will tell Big Brother's Angie Bowie of ex-husband David Bowie's death off air
Celebrity Big Brother housemate Angie Bowie will be informed of her former husband David Bowie's death off air, Channel 5 has said.

Angie Bowie was reportedly unaware of the news on Monday morning, having been isolated from the public in the Big Brother house since the latest series of the show started last week.
A Channel 5 spokesperson said: “Following the very sad news of David Bowie's death this morning, we can confirm that Angie Bowie will be informed off camera today at the earliest opportunity."
As a result of the development, the live stream of the Big Brother house was unavailable on Monday morning.
After telling her around noon, the broadcaster announced: "She has taken the decision to continue in the programme. The decision to remain in the house is entirely her choice, and she has been given the option to leave at any time if she changes her mind.
"Appropriate support will be available to Angie at any time if needed.”
Fans and prominent individuals across the globe have expressed their sadness at the star's passing on social media.
