Actor Christoph Waltz and CBS’s The Late Late Show host James Corden are starring in a humorous video for Supercell’s popular ‘Clash of Clans’ game.
Based on the idea that “every Clasher has a story,” the video features Waltz as he tells a bedtime story to Corden called ‘The Legend of the Last Lava Pup’ – which is based on a true player tale.
Created by Barton F. Graf, the goal of the campaign is to directly engage 'Clash of Clans' players by "celebrating the players’ epics moments.”
The cinema ad (above) launched on YouTube today and TV elements will begin to air on Christmas day. Out-of-home ads will begin to appear in New York, London and San Francisco on December 28.
A website will also launch on Christmas day where players can submit their own heroic ‘Clash of Clans’ moments and can view other stories.
