Hyundai Motor UK appointed Gravity Thinking as its first ever retained social media agency.
Gravity Thinking will be responsible for the brand’s social strategy, content creation and online community management after signing a three year contract which is due to commence in January 2016.
The London-based agency will work alongside Hyundai UK’s marketing team to create content for the car manufacturer’s social platforms such as as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
Adam Nickson, head of brand strategy and communications at Hyundai Motor UK, said Gravity Thinking displayed a “staggering amount of research” in its pitch and added “it was obvious they’d really worked hard to understand our brand.”
Nickson explained how "this focus on social will help us have a dialogue with a younger, broader audience –2016 is going to be a big year with new products, technologies, milestones and, of course, the UEFA Euro 2016 of which we are an official sponsor".
Stephen Firth, managing partner at Gravity Thinking, said “our job is to get consumers to understand what the brand stands for and how amazing their products really are."
He added that future plans involved looked to “really establish the brand in the hearts and minds of the consumer.”
Gravity Thinking’s client portfolio includes also includes Disney, Glenfiddich and Allianz insurance.
