Verizon’s John Harrobin named CMO of NBC’s content agency

John Harrobin, who formerly served as a marketing exec at Verizon, is joining NBC as chief marketing officer of its in-house ad agency.

In his new role, he will oversee all marketing and creative content activities of its Content Innovation Agency.

He will report to NBCUniversal’s chairman of advertising sales and client partnerships Linda Yaccarino.

Of his appointment, Yaccarino said: “John has extensive experience across all media and has excelled in driving digital innovation. He is an exceptional addition to our NBCUniversal family and a perfect fit for our clients’ creative needs. I’m confident that John will help us amplify the marketing power of our brands and scale opportunities for our advertisers so they can connect even more deeply to the audiences that rely on us for the best entertainment, news and sports content wherever they want to find it.”

Before joining NBCUniversal, Harrobin held a number of senior positions at Verizon.
