Subway has named Joseph Tripodi as chief marketing officer just weeks after the chain’s former spokesman Jared Fogle pled guilty to child pornography charges.

Tripodi, who most recently served as Coca Cola’s marketing head, replaces Tony Pace as the sandwich chain’s CMO. He will be charged with overseeing marketing, product offerings, and customer engagement.

Pace stepped down from the role this summer after federal authorities raided Fogle’s home in relation to the child pornography investigation.

The chain brought back Chris Caroll, who served as Subway’s SVP of global marketing about ten years ago, this summer after Pace left.

Carroll is now chief advertising officer for the company. In August, he replaced Subway’s longtime agency MMB with BBDO New York.
