Trump says he’ll show up to CNN debate if network donates $5m

Donald Trump wants CNN to fork over $5m in order for him to show up to its Republican debate in Las Vegas later this month.

During a rally in Georgia on Monday, the presidential hopeful told attendees that CNN should pay up because it “doesn’t treat me properly” and credited himself with the high ratings the network received when it hosted the second Republican debate in September.

According to Nielsen, more than 23 million people tuned in to that debate.

“I won’t do the debate unless they pay me five million dollars, all of which money goes to the Wounded Warriors or goes to vets,” he told the crowd.

He added that CNN's ratings will go down if he doesn't attend.
