Amazon is looking to match potential recruits up with its Web Services team by conducting an unusual staff hunt on dating app Tinder.

Looking to snag top engineers, the company posed the ad as a profile for users within the Seattle catchment area.

Seeing an opportunity to target the ad towards youthful singles with a knack for engineering, to strengthen its cloud-based product, the AWS reads: “This is not a Scam, we are actually from AWS Recruiting trying out this method To find top Engineering Talent, Please swipe right!”.

The occurrence, first spotted by Motherboard, is one example of the weird ad drives being conducted on the service.

Earlier this year, The Drum spoke to Tinder chief executive Sean Rad to discuss potential brand involvement on the app.
