Twitter UK's Will Scougal joins Snapchat UK launch as head of creative strategy

Twitter UK's head of brand strategy Will Scougal has left the company to join Snapchat's UK launch where he will serve as head of creative strategy.

Scougal, who joined Twitter from Chime Communications, was responsible for setting up its brand strategy team from 2012 as it grew its European offer.

Speaking to The Drum, Scougal confirmed the move when he said: "After three years at Twitter and a short break I'm excited to be joining Snapchat as UK head of creative strategy"

Snapchat is understood to have undertaken a major recruitment drive in recent months, with a UK chief executive one of several roles expected to be named in the coming weeks.

Scougal, who was chairman of The Drum Social Buzz Awards 2015, has also founded Short & Sweet, a short form content agency which specialises in social video creation.

Earlier today it was announced that Twitter UK had promoted Dara Nasr to managing director.
