Way to Blue launches media department headed up by Google's Giles Hadman

Way To Blue has launched a media department to bolster its integrated approach across paid, earned, and owned media.

The global marketing firm's new arm will give clients access to insight and research speicialists, as well as social media and PR resources.

Joining from Google, Giles Hadman is to head up the offering with Michael Perkins and Isabelle Zonderland supporting as media managers.

Hadman has spent over 25 years working in and around the entertainment industry at Aegis and WPP, Walt Disney Motion and most recently Google – where he was head of global accounts for media and entertainment.

Perkins has spent his career working on campaigns for entertainment shows across on-Broadway, off-Broadway, film and television. Zonderland arrives from a paid search role at ZenithOptimedia UK.

Commenting on the opening, Adam Rubins chief executive at Way To Blue said: "We believe that the world is moving towards a truly integrated owned, earned and paid approach and we intend to lead in that field.

"I can think of no one better than Hadman to oversee this new and exciting chapter at Way To Blue,” he added.
