easyHotel – the budget hotel brand from Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou’s easyGroup – has appointed Make It Rain to handle its digital marketing and drive UK bookings.

The win is the second appointment from easyGroup, which appointed the London agency to work with its car rental arm, easyCar, in 2013.

Tamryn Baxter-Bruce, head of marketing at easyHotel said; “Make it Rain have a proven track record with our sister brand and bring an unrivalled specialism of local presence marketing which is highly relevant for the easyHotel brand.”

Make It Rain’s managing director Mike Fantis, added; “We have made considerable progress working with easyCar, demonstrating a 30% traffic uplift year on year. We look forward to working with the easyHotel team to repeat this success as the business continues its expansion.”

easyHotel’s strategy is to target the "super budget" segment of the hotel industry and currently has three owned hotels comprising 390 rooms, and a further 18 franchised hotels with approximately 1,500 rooms.
