United Biscuits (UB) is to celebrate Jacob’s 130th anniversary by creating the 'longest ever cheeseboard'.

The cheeseboard, which will stretch along the entire Tower Bridge Walkway in London, will be accompanied by the brands signature product, the cream cracker.

The savory biscuit, which is now worth £26m, remains a best seller despite a number of new recipes. Director of savory brands at UB, Ted Lineham, believes that the crackers success is down to its simplicity.

"While we are constantly looking at ways to develop the brand and ensure it stays modern, it remains the classic cracker, using the same ingredients and special baking techniques as it has for 130 years," he said.

The nostalgic biscuit underwent a logo revamp earlier this year with UB continuing to invest in its flagship product in 2016.
