Johnsonville Sausage teamed up with Uber yesterday to deliver lasagna, rigatoni and other Italian dishes to dozens of Chicagoans.

The odd pair-up saw Uber cars hauling tiny ‘Nonna’ homes around Chicago while Italian grandmas cooked up some of their signature dishes using Johnsonville’s sausages.

Between 2 pm and 6 pm, Uber users in Chicago could request ‘Nonnas’ in the car-service app to receive a free meal from either Gina, Lidia, or Antonia.

According to Droga5, the agency behind the campaign, more than 100 meals were delivered throughout Chicago.

Droga5 won the Johnsonville Sausage account last year and rolled out its first campaign for the brand earlier this year under the tagline ‘’We don’t make sausage. We make family. And sausage.”
