To celebrate Mexico’s annual Day of the Dead, which honors dead family members and friends, Chicago agency Upshot created a short film for beer brand Modelo Especial that gives viewers a taste of what takes place on the holiday.

Voted by US Creative Work readers as Ad of the Week, the colorful video takes viewers right into the environment of a Day of the Dead celebration.

Called ‘Ofrenda,’ which translates to ‘offering’ or ‘altar’ in Spanish, the online spot does not feature any dialogue. Instead, it showcases in great detail many of the objects one may find at an ofrenda honoring the deceased - like photos, candles, and prized possessions.

Festive music plays in the background as people drink Modelo Especial and celebrate the holiday, which takes place on Nov. 1 and 2.
