Samsung Connected Series

In 2013 the movie “Her” captured the world’s attention by giving us a peak into a future where technology is no longer nuanced, but instead an intricate part of our relationships and interactions. Two years later Samsung is leveraging Vimeo PRO with their “Connected Series,” to capture the details of this zeitgeist.

The series features eleven Vimeo filmmakers, who have been part of the video network’s Staff Picks a collective sixty times. This week Found Remote takes a look at “Left To Your Own Devices,” by Larry Cohen. You can watch the full video above.

Have you ever browsed through the photos on your phone from the past year amazed by how quickly time passes? Have you ever misplaced your phone or had it stolen without having backed it up? In this short, a burglar returns to the apartment of a couple he stole a device from and confronts them after viewing the woman’s photos and feeling remorse.

Every year technology becomes an even more normal part of our lives. “Left To Your Own Devices” is a perfect story for Samsung to point out that what their technology provides is more than circuits, zeroes and ones.

Brands can buy ads, they can pay to have their products placed on TV but what’s truly innovative is when they take what they sell and allow filmmakers to treat their product as if they were casting them in a role.

Stay tuned as we feature another creative video from a brand in next week's column. Businesses and organizations around the world trust Vimeo PRO with their videos. Vimeo PRO provides businesses with enterprise-level video hosting features for an affordable price. These include gorgeous, high-quality playback, up to 20GB of storage per week and a fully customizable player.

Vimeo’s mission is to empower creators to make, share and sell amazing videos directly to viewers worldwide, in the highest quality possible and with no interruptive advertising. Vimeo is home to the world’s leading video creators and the hundreds of millions of viewers who love them.

Founded in 2004 and based in New York City, Vimeo, LLC is an operating business of IAC (NASDAQ: IACI).
