Costa are the first UK brand to use BuzzFeeds branded content division, announced earlier this month, with the launch of a new ad touching on the things Brits love most.

The ‘Little things that make people in Britain happy’ film features Costa coffee customers discussing the aspects of modern day British culture which they enjoy the most. Including things like a “Sunday roast” and “the pub”.

Newcast, part of ZenithOptimedia, managed the partnership which marks the role out of BuzzFeed’s Motion Pictures branded content in Europe following its launch in the US 18 months ago.

Caroline Harris, Costa’s UK & Ireland marketing director said collaborating with BuzzFeed on a UK and European first has “allowed us to engage our Facebook fans in a truly new, innovative and engaging way”.

She added that “as a British brand we hope the film will make the people of Britain smile, like and share across both Buzzfeed and our social channels”.

BuzzFeed UK’s general manger, Kate Burns, said the company was “incredibly pleased to have partnered with a strong British brand to showcase our branded video capabilities for the first time in the UK”.

Burns was confident that the addition of BuzzFeed Motion Pictures branded video to its portfolio was “a great opportunity for UK marketers.”
