Copywriting nightmare results in 'next genertaion' typo embarrassment for Scottish Labour
The Scottish Labour Party has culled a video spearheading its campaign to reclaim the nation from the SNP’s control in the 2016 election under new leader Kezia Dugdale.
Carrying sentiment from the new Scottish Labour leader, the video, now removed from the party's official YouTube channel, claimed that Labour was working “for the next genertaion”.
The video was unveiled to a room of sniggering journalists and party supporters on Friday at the Scottish Labour conference in Perth. The production, which fired disjointed text at readers, invoked mockery with SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon also getting in on its criticism.
I hope @scottishlabour have a good conference in Preth! #illgetmycoat #generation https://t.co/mwWSqeACtR

Social media users were quick to comment on the gaffe.
More shocking evidence of poor literacy under @theSNP - @scottishlabour unable to spell, in its own PPB #genertaion pic.twitter.com/syhIr5y61B

It took precisely 98 minutes from the start of #ScotLab15 for the first fuck-up. Great stuff. #genertaion pic.twitter.com/CxG49qYLMa

Labour supporters can however argue that with the typo's help, #ScotLab15 trended on Twitter in the UK.
