Business on the move: account wins and reviews from PHD, Zone, Brave and more

Welcome to The Drum’s account roundup. To help you stay up to date, each Friday we’ll bring you a summary of the latest account wins and reviews taking place across the industry both globally and locally. Here's a look back at what we think you need to know this week.

Local

Zone

Greene King, the owner of pub brands Hungry Horse and Old English Inns has appointed Zone to a digital strategy and build brief following a four-way competitive pitch.

The agency has been briefed to update the site’s design, improve navigation and enhance its mobile responsiveness as well as create a more joined-up user experience. The brief also asks for a content management system refresh to support user journeys for the multiple audiences.

Brave

Credit report and credit score service Noddle has appointed creative agency Brave to create its first ever advertising campaign, “Meet the Noddlers”.

The idea behind the campaign is to shine a light on the people who are already part of the ever-growing Noddle community. Brave was tasked with creating a campaign that would champion the diversity of this group of ‘Noddlers’, as well as demonstrating the many ways in which Noddle is helping them.

Getty Images has been appointed as the official photo content partner of The Hollywood Reporter (THR) and Billboard.

Under the new agreement, Getty Images will be the exclusive credentialed photographer for THR and the preferred credentialed photographer for Billboard on the red carpet and behind-the-scenes at top award shows, premieres, industry parties and other entertainment events.

Taylor Herring

Following a competitive four-way pitch process, Thorpe Park Resort has hired creative brand communications agency Taylor Herring for retained consumer PR.

Taylor Herring's main remit will be to launch the theme park's biggest investment to date - a new attraction from Derren Brown.

Up until, and following, the attraction's launch in Spring 2016, Taylor Herring will run a campaign comprised of creative content production, media events and ongoing press office. Following the launch the agency will focus on regular news generation and smaller-scale seasonal activity.

Frank PR

Luxury number plate brand Fourdot has appointed Frank PR as its first ever PR Agency. Previously managed in-house, Frank PR will oversee the PR and social media strategy for the designer, manufacturer and distributer of road legal bespoke number plates.

Matta

Creative agency, Matta, has been appointed by Movember UK to help support this year’s campaign as it continues to raise money and awareness for men’s health issues.

Matta will drive support of the campaign goals and strategy, as well as implement advertising, digital and social campaigns in the UK and Europe. This year will also see the introduction of Move, a new element to Movember, challenging people to commit to being active everyday throughout November.

Global

PHD

Virgin Atlantic has handed its £12m media planning and buying account to PHD, just weeks after it originally announced Havas Media Group's Arena had won the pitch.

The appointment will see PHD handle the planning and buying across on and offline channels for the UK and paid search campaigns in the airline’s destination cities around the world.

Amaze

Laerdal Medical, the provider of training, educational and therapy products for life saving and emergency medical care, has appointed Amaze as its global digital partner across 23 countries and five continents.

Amaze’s appointment will also include Laerdal Medical’s not-for-profit organisation Laerdal Global Health, which develops simple, affordable products and programmes to help save the lives of newborns and mothers in low-resource countries.

Amaze will develop and execute a comprehensive global digital strategy to meet the needs of Laerdal’s diverse customer base.
