Target launches Halloween site designed to highlight the best trick-or-treat spots
Target has added to its Halloween advertising with a new website designed to point trick-or-treaters to the best locations for candy.
The Minneapolis-based retailer launched a mobile and desktop website called Treatster which allows users to search for the best trick-or-treating locations in their neighbourhoods.
Using location services data, the Treatster site marks on a map the best houses to stop by for candy. The website allows people to add their homes which are shown on the map with a pumpkin icon. A voting system allows users to vote for a house once and the pumpkin icon representing that location will grow in size depending on the number of positive reviews it receives.
Halloween only comes around once a year. Are you ready? Add your Treatster house to the map: https://t.co/wl2gm9wBbO https://t.co/3YFhlkzaRT

Target has included its trademark branding with its bulls-eye logo carved into the eye of one of the pumpkins.
The website accompanies a series of Halloween ads on Target’s YouTube channel including three 360 degree VR videos which encourage viewers to spot a raven hidden within each of the videos.
