Room rental app Airbnb is upping the chill factor just in time for Halloween, enabling thrill-seekers the chance to win a night in a specially erected bedroom in Paris’ skull-lined catacombs.

Couples are encouraged to enter the competition at the venue’s AirBnb listing. If selected, a lucky duo is locked in the tomb with the remains of six million lost souls.

As further incentive, Airbnb will provide dinner and a live musical performance as part of an exclusive Halloween party.

Entrants are encouraged to document the reasons why they are brave enough to survive the night in the catacombs before 20 October.

Guests have also been told to “respect the catacombs as you would your own grave”.

The PR stunt also warns competition winners that temperatures can drop to as low as 14 ° C in the venue which is 20 metres under the bustling Parisian streets.
