Pornhub, one of the web’s leading porn websites, has released data indicating just how dramatic a shift the mobile revolution has had on viewing habits.

Research released by the company indicated that 60 per cent of traffic comes from iOS or Android devices (mobile and tablet included) – up greatly from 2010’s 12 per cent share. Notably, over a third of users are still reliant upon the trusty old desktop for their browsing needs.

While Android cuts ahead in taking its fair share of mobile traffic, iOS dominates over two thirds of tablet traffic with its iPad range.

Users of each iOS were also timed during their visits.

Apple users laste... visited for an average of eight minutes and 40 seconds after 9.8 page views. Android owners on the other hand managed 10.06 minutes per visit peeking out with 10.9 page views – (iOS users will probably blame longer load and buffering times on Android).

The study also found differences in the search habits of users with iOS users preferring to search ‘lesbian,’ ‘step mom,’ ‘teen,’ ‘step sister’ and ‘MILF’ and Android owners favouring searches for ‘lesbian,’ ‘cartoon,’ ‘black,’ ‘teen’ and ‘step mom’.

The gender gap between users is evenly matched with women making up just a quarter of browsers on both platforms.

Notably, iOS boasted more 18-24s although Android made up lost ground in the 25-34 bracket.

There are many more NSFW findings from the study, you can read them here if you’re so inclined.
