Bloomberg Media has announced two key appointments in its latest executive reshuffle with Gary Groenheim taking up the position of head of partnerships for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and the appointment of Hannah Musisi from CNN International.

Groenheim moves over form his Hong Kong post as commercial director of Bloomberg Television for Asia Pacific and will focus on launching and managing new media partnerships, as well as building relationships with existing partners. He is also expected to develop localised television, digital, print and radio content partnerships with companies ranging from start-ups to global media companies. The first task in his new role will be to launch Bloomberg TV Bulgaria later this month through an extended partnership with Bulgaria On Air.

Musisi meanwhile will use her six years at CNN International as EMEA business development manager to oversee the negotiation of television channel distribution agreements with terrestrial, satellite and VOD TV operators in the EMEA region.

Groenheim and Musisi will be based in Bloomberg's European headquarters in London and will report to Bloomberg Media's publishing director in EMEA, Justin Dewhirst.

Dewhirst was “thrilled” to announce both appointments. He said Groenheim’s appointment was “a natural one, allowing him to build on his long-standing commercial and marketing experience” while Musisi’s “valuable and relevant experience speaks for itself”.

The news follows a number of senior executive appointments, most recently Penny Bartram as head of solutions in April, and the launch of the company’s first-ever digital regional property Bloomberg Business Europe.
