Ad industry veteran, Bruce Haines, has joined LONDON Advertising as chairman.

Haines left Cheil Worldwide, where he was global chief strategy officer, in April after five years with the company, predominantly in Asia. Prior to that, he was CEO at Leo Burnett London, managing the merger between it and the D’Arcy Group.

Michael Moszynski, LONDON Advertising’s CEO, said of Haines appointment; “Following a year of stellar new business success, including new clients in the US, Europe, Asia and Africa, we have asked Bruce to join us to help aid our next phase of growth.”

“My time working in Asia gave me a very different view of how we, in this market, approach global business,” said Haines. “Big agency groups seem convinced that “work that travels” has to be written to meet the lowest common denominator and most small agencies seem content on satisfying the needs of this market alone.”

LONDON Advertising was awarded Agency of the Year by The Drum in 2014.
