General Electric promotes Linda Boff to top marketer job

General Electric has promoted ‎director of global brand marketing,executive Linda Boff to the top role of chief marketing officer.

In addition to her current brand marketing responsibilities, Boff, will lead the company’s digital industrial marketing strategy.

She will report to Beth Comstock, GE vice chair, who said of the appointment: “Linda is one of the most innovative and forward-thinking marketers in the business.

“Her extensive background in integrated marketing, digital media, and brand, as well as her reputation for innovation will help evolve our marketing organization, build our iconic brand and advance GE’s digital and industrial strength.”

Boff joined GE in 2003 and has since won accolades including FastCompany’s Most Creative People and Advertising Women of New York’s Changing the Game awards.
