Metallica and Budweiser partner in limited edition branded beer promotion
Heavy metal veterans Metallica have joined forces with Budweiser to release a branded beer in Canada to coincide with their tour's stop off in Quebec.
Launching in parallel with Metallica’s scheduled performance at the Videotron Centre, 91,000 black cans will be sold individually and in crates of 15 and 24 to mark the occasion.
Furthermore, a 48-foot tanker filled with the special brew will be present at the Videotron, where “the sonic vibrations from Metallica's music will be infused into the liquid, creating the rock and roll recipe,” claims a release from brewer ABInbev.
A statement from Vidéotron read: “Budweiser has partnered with legendary rock band Metallica to channel the brute force of this historic show and be inspired by its vibrations, its energy and its decibels to create a beer in the image of the power of rock."
The stunt will commence 28 September on the evening of the sell-out concert.
