Schibsted Media Group partners with AppNexus to use its advertising technology platform

Schibsted Media Group has appointed AppNexus as its advertising technology platform.

The partnership will see Schibsted use the Appnexus platform to deliver advertising to its 200 million customers across 30 countries. The tech company’s appeal stems from its ability to offer customers a platform from which they can buy and sell media.

Executive vice president of Schibsted Media Group, Frode Eilertsen, said the company’s publishing, classifieds and growth businesses would benefit from the “premium targeting solutions that utilize Schibsted's unique insights derived from audience behavior data”.

He added that AppNexus’ full-stack technology infrastructure “will act as the foundation for Schibsted advertising product development in the years to come”.

It will be the first time a company has used AppNexus’s comprehensive publisher platform which delivers direct campaign management, marketplace sales, ad serving and yield management.

Brian O’Kelley, chief executive of AppNexus, was “thrilled” to form the partnership with Schibsted which he said will see “Appnexus’s power Schibsted’s diverse media across geographic markets”.
