The second DigitasLBi UK NewFront event will explore how technology is impacting upon everyday lives and feature sessions from Mumsnet founder Justine Roberts, TV presenter and director Richard Ayoade and DJ, TV presenter and The Pool founder, Lauren Laverne.
The event, taking place ahead of IAB Digital Upfronts week in London at the agency's offices on Brick Lane, will cover the technological impact being had on society across various walks of life and will also hear from NASA astronaut and U.S. Navy Commander Reid Wiseman, Nathan Barley actor, Nicholas Burns and Professor Hugh Herr PhD, head of the biomechatronics research group at MIT Media Lab.
Chris Clarke, chief creative officer, International for DigitasLBi, commented: “As marketing increasingly shifts towards a reliance on the personal networks of its target audience it's ever more important for brands to be useful, purposeful and entertaining not just in product and services but in the way they go to market. Brands need to be interesting and yet so few really are. We've brought together a group of very interesting people to explore this idea in as entertaining andinformative a way as possible.”
The Drum has extended its exclusive media partnership with IAB Digital Upfronts to support NewFront from a content perspective and will report from the event, as well as the following week-long programme that will include companies such as Facebook, Buzzfeed, Google and AOL.
