Bringing Silly Season news stories to life: Here's how we 3D printed Harper Beckham's infamous dummy
From Cecil the lion to vampire kittens, the news cycle has been awash with Silly Season stories over the past couple of weeks in lieu of political news.
But don't worry if you haven't been able to keep up with it all because Paul McEntee, founder of Mc&T, is bringing the silliest coverage to life via 3D printing with the help of Shoreditch's MakersCafe in The Drum's new series.
This week he examines the contentious topic of David Beckham's choice to allow his four-year-old daughter Harper to use a dummy, which attracted comment from Katie Hopkins, Peter Andre and other celebrities. The pacifier was even awarded its own hashtag – #Dummygate – and generated 125m Twitter impressions and 250,000 news stories worldwide.
