Carter Nance, who served as managing director of CP+B Miami for more than 15 years before leaving the agency last year, will now take on the newly created role of chief client officer at Austin-based GSD&M.

In this position, he will oversee management of the agency’s clients, including Chipotle, Hilton, and Walgreens.

chief executive of GSD&M Duff Stewart said: “With an impressive background of successfully driving brands and the talent around him, there is no doubt Carter is an ideal fit for our agency. Not only has he mastered the art of account leadership, but he has a purpose-driven mindset and will be a great cultural fit, which is incredibly important to who we are as a community.”

At CP+B, he led its Domino’s and Coca-Coca relationships while overseeing day-to-day management.

Nance’s appointment is the latest in a series of executive shakeupsat GSD&M. Earlier this year, Jay Russell was appointed to chief creative officer after serving as executive creative director at the agency.

Shortly afterwards, the agency dismissed a number of senior employees including senior vice president and managing group creative director David Crawford as well as longtime producer Steve Shaw, according to Adweek.
