Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation premiere notches up Yahoo live stream record
The world premiere of the latest instalment in the Tom Cruise spy franchise Mission Impossible has been named by Yahoo as its most successful live stream to date.
Rogue Nation’s red carpet debut was broadcast live over the internet by Yahoo Stream, enabling millions of film buffs to sample the atmosphere from the comfort of their home, office and mobile.
Driving traffic to the event were heavy promotions by Yahoo across its network; including a Tumblr campaign and social media support from key cast members including Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson.
Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation is being distributed by Paramount Pictures with the premiere held at the Vienna State Opera on July 23, a key location for the new film.
