Kraft’s former CMO Deanie Elsner to run Kellogg’s US snacks business
Kellogg's has hired former Kraft chief marketing officer Deanie Elsner as president of its US Snacks division, which includes brands such as Cheez-It and Pringles.
The company confirmed her hire during its second earnings call on Tuesday 4 August.
Elsner left Kraft earlier this year before it merged with H.J. Heinz Co. to form Kraft Heinz.
The new hire comes as Kraft tries to make its packaged foods appealing to increasingly health conscious consumers. Sales for its US snacks branch dropped to $1.69bn this quarter, down from $1.72bn during last year’s second quarter.
Earlier this year, Kellogg's hired Wendy’s former chief marketing officer Craig Bahner as president of its morning foods division and promoted its chief growth officer Paul Norman to president of Kellogg North America.
