YouTube millionaire PewDiePie is Variety’s new cover star
Gaming ‘Let’s Play’ YouTube star PewDiePie has hit the cover of Variety magazine with the publisher celebrating his impact on the digital landscape.
Felix Kjellberg, AKA PewDiePie clocks up over an average of 300 million views on a monthly basis, providing a unique brand of zany commentary over live footage of video games – be they mainstream or delightfully obscure and weird.
The magazine named the 25-year-old Swede as its number one ‘FameChanger’, highlighting the 12 biggest names in digital innovation.

For grinding out unique content to his 30 million subscribers on a daily basis ‘Pewds’ secures his name as the most followed name on YouTube.
To date, Pewds is unarguably a runaway success, however, recently he had to defend his sizable pay packet: "I have 9 billion views, that translates to something. There's ads on my videos. I make money on those."
