Earlier this week, the company’s chief marketing officer Tony Pace announced that he is leaving to start a marketing consulting firm just weeks after the brand ended its relationship with longtime spokesman Jared Fogle after federal authorities raided his home. Earlier this year, a former director of Fogle’s foundation to combat childhood obesity was arrested on child pornography charges.

According to Carroll’s LinkedIn profile, he served as SVP of global marketing at Subway from 1999-2005. He then went on to hold top marketing positions at fast-casual restaurant chain Cosi and Liberty Tax Service, and also spent some time serving as chief client officer at Florida-based agency Zimmerman.

Subway is also putting its creative business under review, according to Adweek.

Currently, Boston-based MMB handles creative advertising for the brand. It is unclear whether or not the agency will take part in the review.
