NHS medics hit back at Hunt with #IminworkJeremy selfies
NHS workers have taken to Twitter to hit back at Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt’s comments that there is a “Monday to Friday culture” in part of the NHS, posting selfies during shifts with the hashtag #IminworkJeremy.
Hunt revealed plans this week to impose seven day working on consultants to end the option they currently have of opting out of non-emergency work at evening and weekend.
An anaesthetic trainee kickstarted the campaign in response, but has been swiftly joined by thousands of doctors, nurses and other medics all working evenings and weekends.
