Tesco lays the social media smackdown on Liverpool fan after Chelsea put down

A Twitter troll who filed a fake product complaint to Tesco’s social media team was left red-faced after the gambit backfired in a humiliating manner.

The retailer's social media team bared their claws, proving they will not be fair game for trolls, in an unusually out-going conversation from the brand.

First of all, Liverpool fan @Morenology filed a complaint about cheese on Wednesday afternoon.

Tesco’s Imran approached the issue as helpfully as he possibly could.

How could he predict Morenology was using the opportunity to take a swipe at London side Chelsea FC, questioning the devotion of club supporters.

Tesco’s Imran passed the torch to Mike who had a bone to pick with the Merseysider, putting him down in glorious fashion.

The troll gracefully admitted defeat in the end.
