Donald Trump has become embroiled in an embarrassing Twitter gaffe after he inadvertently tweeted an image of himself overlayed on an American flag, bundle of dollars and the White House – alongside the incongruous sight of a line of Nazi soldiers marching past.

Pictured above the message ‘We need real leadership. We need results. Let’s put the US back into business!” the apparent mistake was quickly picked up by alarmed Twitter users, prompting the rogue posts swift deletion.
